In 2008 Resources for Change completed an Audience Development and Access Plan for Milton Mount Gardens (Worth Park) in Crawley, West Sussex.
The work was commissioned by Crawley Borough Council as part of their preparations to submit a proposal to the Heritage Lottery Fund’s Parks for People Grant Programme.
Working with Land Management Services over six months we consulted the local community to understand how they use the park and how facilities could be improved to increase and broaden use.
The consultation involved over 300 members of the public and key informants. A variety of tools were used to build an understanding of how the park is used and valued at present and to develop ideas for the future.
A range of action points were identified that had the potential to significantly increase and broaden the number of visits to the park and to increase the level of awareness of its heritage value and levels of enjoyment.
This contract built on Resources for Changes' unrivalled experience in Audience Development Plans, and very successful track record in helping clients secure further funding.
