In 2010 R4C consultant Alison Davies supported project management and delivery for The Community Development Foundation's Connecting Communities Work, funded by Communities and Local Government.

The Connecting Communities programme aims to reinvigorate and connect with those communities that are feeling the pressure from recession most acutely and ensure they are well placed to share fully in future prosperity and emerge stronger and more cohesive.

The programme is focusing on leadership, giving people a voice, and increasing opportunities. Leadership training, for local people is seen as a key part of the programme.

R4C worked closely with the Local Authority Programme Manager in managing the contract and ensuring that all tasks were undertaken to the timeline specified.
