Positive News is an international newspaper based in rural Shropshire, reporting on the people, events and influences that are creating greater wellbeing for people and planet.
Running for more than 15 years, its founder Shauna Crockett-Burrows, is now looking to hand over the reins. Her priority is to ensure that Positive News can continue to spread good news, reaching out to increasing numbers of readers online or on paper.
A key part of R4C’s input has been to design and carry out a consultation with readers, subscribers, sponsors and funders. The response has been phenomenal, demonstrating the support that there is out there for the publication and its aims.
We are now working with Shauna and the management team to put together a full business plan, including ways of becoming independent of grant funding, finding a robust organisational structure and at the same time, safeguarding the founding ethos.
