Emma Cranidge

Emma is a skilled and experienced consultancy project manager, specialising in stakeholder and community engagement as well as leading on the development of cutting edge online solutions in the consultation arena, and various roles influencing and supporting engagement practice at the UK wide and international level.

She has been involved in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of community programmes and engagement processes, as both a consultancy project manager, trainer and collaborative practitioner. Previous clients have included the Countryside Council for Wales, National Endowment for Science, Technology and Art (NESTA) and the Environment Council. And she has also worked within the NHS on Community Development and for the Community Development Foundation.

Through her broad experience she has developed a wealth of knowledge around the key skills sets required for working to develop sustainable solutions as well as online / software products that provide real results for their users.

A previous partner with CAG consulting, she is now the Director of Thinking Tree through which she is developing collaborative community software and launching an online Engagement Magazine, as well as working as a core associate with Resources for Change.

She is currently on the AccountAbility International Technical Working Group revising the International Stakeholder Engagement Standard AA1000SES.

Outside Activities and Interests

Emma is a keen grower of fruit and keeper of chickens. She grows several varieties of top and soft fruit and is particularly passionate about her heritage rhubarb beds while the chickens help out, keeping the slugs at bay.

She lives in Yorkshire and with her familyand enjoys all the county has to offer, from beautiful scenery to energetic cities, fine local produce to the full range of independent breweries.
