Irene Evison

Irene has worked in the private, public and voluntary sectors undertaking a variety of different tasks, equipping her with plenty of useful experience. She is an advanced Welsh learner, comfortable working informally in Welsh.

Taking an inclusive approach is an important part of her work and this combined with her ability to 'see the big picture' enables effective support to groups and organisations allowing them to develop their capacity and activities.

Irene's areas of expertise include designing and running facilitation events and engagement processes; strategic community development; participatory techniques for project appraisal, monitoring and evaluation; working with communities; project proposal development, including contributing to successful funding bids; organisational development, including troubleshooting; practical information research and presentation; grants assessment, including financial status; partnership development including strategic relationships; task and people management.

Irene is a member of the UK Evaluation Society. As a volunteer, she is a Trustee for Campaign for National Parks and has recently been appointed as Vice Chair Wales. For two years, she was a Welsh Assembly Government appointed member of the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority and also sat on the Powys People’s Panel (for public consultation).
