Forest Routes Community Transport

R4C is undertaking the final evaluation of Forest Routes, which is a partnership project with four community transport partners, that between them cover 200 squares miles of the Forest of Dean.

This is the first such scheme to have received Big Lottery funding, and it is exciting to be able to evaluate a project that is in a new direction for Lottery.

Rural isolation is a significant issue for health and wellbeing and these partners have come together with the aim of reducing its impact on the elderly, vulnerable and also for young people who require extra support or don’t benefit from having their own transport.
